This year we kept it low key for Christmas and spent a few days at Gigi and Papa's house in Concord and spent the rest of the time at home. Lilly loves the attention and toys at Gigi and Papa's house and can always find someone to play with her or pick her up and give her the Tour de Christmas.
It is no secret, I dislike Winter. I remember wishing that there would be too much snow or it would be too cold and we would have indoor recess in school. I volunteered to work in the library putting away books and reading to the Kindergarten classes all to get out of going out for Winter recess. I have never loved Winter sports and I dread leaving my nice warm house on cold snowy days.
Lillian had her first hair trim this past weekend. I thought it was going to be one of those emotional moments, where my baby turned into a toddler. But reality is, Lilly doesn't have a ton of hair, so the 1/4 of an inch that was trimmed is barely noticeable. It does make her "almost" mullet look a little more full and a little less hillbilly like.
We had some special visitors from Minnesota over the weekend and it was a delight. Grandma and Grandpa Knoll came to Michigan for an early Christmas celebration.
