New House ... New Baby

This past week has been filled with lots of hustle and bustle.  However, making the most out of every moment of Summer is so fulfilling.

Our week started off with a visit from GiGi, Papa and Namma.  Lillian had a grand time with them on the porch, playing in the warm breeze and entertaining them with her silly antics.  She is such a ball of energy!  Papa and Namma headed back to Concord, but GiGi stayed with us for the rest of the week.

You may think having GiGi in town would mean trips to the flower store, etc.. but this time it was in preparation for Aunnie and Jake to move to their new house.  Lilly was such a big helper.  She went to the new house with GiGi and I and helped us clean it from top to bottom.  She was thrilled to stand on the ladder and was more than happy to assist us when we had used paper towels to throw away.  At one point she had flushed the toilet several times in a row and when asked what she was doing, she explain that the toilet was filled with blue paint and she was cleaning it.  Little did she know it was a blue auto-clean tablet.  It was very cute to see her contemplate why the toilet was blue and fascinating to see her mind work at solving the problem.  Obviously the best solution in her mind was to flush and flush until it was gone.  Can't argue with that logic.  After about 9,000 more flushes it probably would have been clean.

As a treat for the hard work of cleaning and in preparation for the hard work on loading and unloading boxes and furniture.  We took the day on Wednesday to head to K-zoo to spend the afternoon with the Tomasoski Family.  This was the first time we were able to meet precious Baby Nick and Lilly, GiGi and I couldn't take our hands off of him.  He is such a wonderful little blessing.  I adored holding him as he drifted off to sleep and then cuddling him.  While it was a celebration to meet Baby Nick, it was also time to celebrate 2 very important birthday's.  Blake and Drew were surprised to have a fun celebrations at Chuck E. Cheese.  Lilly was amazed by the place, as it was her first time.  We sat close to the robotic mouse and at first Lilly was not happy at all, she covered her eyes and looked away as it sang and moved about.  Slowly, over the course of 3 hours, she was finally able to look at the mouse and even wave "Hi" to it.  What a funny little gal she can be.  The boys and Lilly had a great time playing games, winning tickets, eating pizza and dancing and chasing each other.  Blake is so good with Lilly and even with the 9 month difference in age between Lilly and Drew they could hold their own with each other.  Of course GiGi and Nana Marge were delighted with their grand kids and didn't mind having time to talk.  And Katie and I even got to sneak in a few minutes of adult conversation surrounding the many interruptions and activity.  It was great that Auntie Elisa was there to help out!

The week ended with a busy day of moving and more fun time with GiGi and Papa.  Can't ask for much more on these beautiful Summer days!
