Aunnie & Papa's Birthday Party

It's a lot of candels.  A lot of fire.  A lot of numbers.  That pretty much sums it up, from the perspective of a four year old.  When combining Aunnie and Papa's birthday, that is what you get.

Trying A Little Something Different

"It is fun, to try new things." says Lillian.  I am so happy she has such a sense of adventure and willingness to explore new things.  Whether it is gymnastics, swimming, music lessons, roller coasters, etc..  She is always interested.  Foods, not so much, but then again, I am not the most adventurous cook.  This Winter we thought we would try a section of Ballet and Tap with Lilly's friend Kelliana.  First class done and she is happy she tried the adventure.

Already January .. Finally Lake Effect Snow

Today was the first snow day of the season, but it was a Lilly and Mama day, so it didn't really matter.  It was a fun day to play outside, play Legos on the porch, and enjoy the sun and blowing snow... while laying there enjoying the snow for a little bit.  Lilly shared that she thought we were in God's snow globe.

Too Many Cats...

Reading before bed is starting to draw me in again, don't get me wrong, it is not like I didn't love the thousands of picture books that we borrowed from the library.  But we are starting to get to the stage of paperback series.  I doubt we will jump right into Anne of Green Gables... but we have ventured into Eloise.  Lilly of course still loves a little magazine time too, she picked up that habit from her Auntie Katie, for sure.  Tonight it was Ranger Rick Jr. and an Oriental Trading Company magazine.  If you wondering, yes, she is reading to Baby Lucy in her "co-sleeper" she fashioned out of her sofa.  One cannot take Bitty Baby safety too lightly.

Long, Slown Winter Break...

It is hard to believe it is already 2016 ... time with Lilly just seems to go by faster and faster.  Partially, because work has become more intense, but also because we have so many things that we do as a family.  This Christmas break we took the slow road, I can't say it was totally project/work free but we enjoyed lots of long lazy days.
